SC2010 - Sharing the success of the Special Constabulary

19-21 March 2010

The Tower Hotel, London

Sponsorship and exhibiting

SC2010, 19 - 21 March 2010, promises to be a weekend to remember for the Special Constabulary across the country. It's the definitive Special Constabulary gathering for two years, with a significant attendance of senior Special Constables and regular officers, local Specials, officers and police staff, as well as national and international partners in policing.

The National Special Constabulary Conference sets the scene and direction for the following two years and, with the Olympic and Paralympic Games just two years away from this point, the conference being held in London is a chance to pave the way for highlighting the extraordinary potential of forces' contingents of fully-warranted volunteer police officers.

A unique opportunity exists for a select number of organisations to become premium sponsors of SC2010 and engage with a solid, varied, community-focused, forward-thinking, and attentive audience.

This is the most informative national conference for the Special Constabulary and other voluntary law enforcement and reserve police agencies and as such is open to all Special Constabulary Chief Officers, Deputy Chief Officers and Assistant Chief Officers and equivalent ranks in addition to Special Constabulary Regional and Force Co-ordinators and Special Constabulary Liaison Officers who may be Police Officers or Police Staff.

Representatives from the following organisations are also being encouraged to attend and in virtually all cases usually do so:

  • Association of Chief Police Officers of England, Wales and Northern Ireland
  • Association of Scottish Chief Police Officers
  • Scottish Police Forces
  • British Transport Police Special Constabulary
  • Police Service of Northern Ireland
  • Home Office
  • National Policing Improvement Agency
  • Her Majesty's Inspectorate of Constabulary
  • Police Authority Members
  • Association of Police Authorities
  • Overseas Police Reserve Associations

Those who attend, either from the policing field or from our sponsors, exhibitors and partners, can:

  • Be directly involved with the direction-shaping, foremost event for the national Special Constabulary and its far-ranging policing power.
  • Be motivated by inspiring speakers.
  • Get up-to-date on the National Strategy and Government policy - and what has happened since the conference in 2008.
  • Share good practice with colleagues from other forces and abroad.
  • Find out more about sponsors' and exhibitors' products and services.
  • Make useful contacts during the network and social sessions.
  • Contribute to the workstream debates.
  • Be ready for the challenges ahead.

Exhibiting at SC2010

SC2010's dedicated marketplace area is located adjacent to the main conference suite and is where the refreshment breaks will be held. It is spacious, modern and ideal to promote your business to a captive audience of decision-makers from the policing and criminal justice world, as well as the bulk of the audience: citizens from a variety of backgrounds and industries who, of course, are also senior Special Constables - fully-warranted volunteer police officers.

SC2010 provides a number of exhibiting opportunities, with significant discounts on exhibition space if booking before the end of September 2009.
